Job Description
President and CEO, Indiana Latino Institute (ILI) – Are you excited by the opportunity to create educational and economic opportunity across Indiana communities? Do you thrive at bringing together people of different backgrounds and experience to create big solutions to tough issues? From college access and scholarships to leadership development and public policy advocacy, ILI is a trusted voice and catalyst for opportunity, helping individuals, families, employers, schools, and communities thrive across Indiana.
Leading ILI is a rare opportunity for a creative, entrepreneurial leader to create and shape ILI’s work for maximum impact. The next CEO will expand ILI’s reach into more communities throughout Indiana, strengthen our long-term financial sustainability, and deepen our role as a convener across sectors, cultures, and organizations working to support Latino and other multi-cultural communities.
The board is seeking a driven, strategic leader who will take ownership in moving the organization forward to create new opportunities, partners, and funding streams. This leader will sustain and build relationships across education, business, philanthropy, government, and community organizations while helping position ILI as both a unifying force within Indiana’s Latino community and a respected statewide leader shaping conversations around workforce development, educational success, civic engagement, and cross-cultural collaboration.
This is a heavy relationship-building and connecting role with more than half of the leader’s time devoted to building relationships with community leaders in central Indiana and beyond. The President & CEO should be able to lead, develop, and supervise a current staff team of eleven with an annual budget of $1.7 mil.
Why Join Us?
At ILI, you will step into a high visibility role and have the opportunity to lead a respected organization with a long-standing legacy of impact. The ILI budget has doubled in the past seven years with expectations of further expansion. ILI is poised for its next strategic planning cycle and the next CEO will define and shape the leadership team to achieve that plan. You’ll work alongside a dedicated board and staff team, passionate stakeholders, and a vibrant community, all committed to building a stronger, more resilient Indiana.
