COLLEGE STUDENT PROGRAMS

The Indiana Latino Institute supports college students statewide throughout their years in higher education to graduation and into the workforce.  From one-on-one college coaching, internships, and scholarships, ILI provides resources to ensure students are informed and prepared as they continue their education.

There are opportunities for college students at all levels, from traditional four-year tracks, part-time students, certificate programs, and more.

We encourage you to check out the resources below to find how ILI can support you on your way through higher education.

COLLEGE COACHING

ILI works with college students across Indiana to assess student and family needs, address barriers, and identify and focus on strengths. ILI provides resources for current college students to help navigate college processes, financial aid, career exploration, internships, and mentorships and provides referrals to general social service agencies for other needs.

INTERNSHIPS

ILI Internship Programming is designed to expose Latino college students to careers in their specific fields of study. Selected individuals spend 125-300 hours working at their internship sites. Interns receive professional development training, support from ILI staff throughout their work, and a scholarship for completing the program requirements.

ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIPS

ILI awards need and merit-based scholarships to graduating high school senior and current undergraduate and graduate college students who show academic excellence and community service involvement. Preference is given to applicants who are Latino first-generation college students and students who do not qualify for government aid.
