SCHOLARSHIPS
ILI ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP
Annual Scholarship
ILI awards need and merit-based scholarships to graduating high school senior and current undergraduate and graduate college students who show academic excellence and community service involvement and are attending a college or university in Indiana.
Preference is given to applicants who are Latino first-generation college students and students who do not qualify for government aid. Scholarship recipients are selected by an outside committee. The ILI Academic Scholarship was created as a means to address the under-representation of Latinos in post-secondary education. The goal is to encourage Latino students in Indiana to pursue higher education and engage in community service.
Application materials must be submitted online by May 31, 2026.
ALIVIO MEDICAL SCHOLARSHIP

The Alivio Medical Center Scholarship is an annual, merit-based competition offered to undergraduate or graduate students that focuses on rewarding ambitious, driven, goal-oriented individuals with majors related to the medical field.

ILI PROMISE SCHOLARSHIP
Full-Tuition Scholarships
The Indiana Latino Institute has a partnership with over 22 universities and colleges across the state where they award 1-2 full, in-state tuition scholarships to high school students in our College Prep program. Currently many of our partner school agreements are in negotiations for continuation.
During this process continue working with your Education Specialist in college preparations to make sure you:
- Have applied to your choice of schools by November 1st (priority deadline for applications at many schools)
- Have met GPA requirements necessary to be eligible for various scholarships
- Plan to complete your FAFSA (opens December 1st)
These are all steps necessary for you to be eligible for our partner schools, whose commitment time is still in process and for many other independent and college/university specific scholarships.
Contact your Education Specialist for more information. If you are not currently a College Preparation Student in our program, please fill out the High School college preparation link found in the Education Program tab, and we will contact you about setting up your first meeting.
ILI MEDICAL INTERPRETER TRAINING SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
BECOME A CERTIFIED MEDIAL INTERPRETER!
The Indiana Latino Institute (ILI) Medical Interpreter Training Scholarship was created to remove financial barriers for those who would want to become medical interpreters. The goal is to encourage bilingual (English & Spanish) Indiana residents to pursue medical interpreter training and help provide assistance to those who need interpretation in medical settings. In order to accomplish this goal, ILI will provide scholarships that cover the complete cost to become a certified medical interpreter. These scholarships cover the entire cost of the language assessments, books, and tuition. Expenses will be paid by ILI directly to providers to cover the cost of the training. ILI will NOT cover the cost of missed assessments or courses. Any fees incurred by individuals who cancel, reschedule, or do not show up to courses will be covered by the individual, not ILI.
