INTERNSHIPS
ABOUT ILI INTERNSHIPS
Indiana Latino Institute Internship Programming is designed to expose Latino college students to careers in their specific fields of study. Selected individuals spend 125-400 hours working at their internship site and completing assignments to enhance their internship learning experience. Interns receive professional development prior to beginning their internship, support from ILI staff throughout their work, and a scholarship for completing the program requirements.
As part of this education program, interns will have an opportunity to explore a career to gain workforce development experience and learn about potential careers. Interns will build relationships with their mentors and with ILI staff, who will provide support as they complete their internships.
ILI Internship programming connects Indiana Latino college students with professional development opportunities in their fields of study. Participating students receive tuition stipends upon completion of their internships.
FIRST YEAR EMPLOYMENT
For students looking to gain an introduction to the professional workforce. The FYE program places students who are in between their final year of high school and their first year of college in internships for 125 hours over the summer. ILI provides students with a $1,000 scholarship upon completion of the program.
INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
The ILI Internship includes real world experience as well as guidance from ILI staff. The Internship program places students who have completed at least one year of college in internships for 200 hours either during the summer, fall, or spring semester. ILI provides up to $2,500 to students upon completion of the program.
FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM
ILI secures corporate partners to host fellows who are entering their senior year of college or who are graduate students. The fellowship includes real world experience as well as character and leadership development trainings. Fellows are paid up to $6,000 directly for their time. This program is for 360-400 hours over one semester.
INTERNSHIP THROUGH PARTNERSHIP
ILI partners with businesses across the state who already have established, internal internship programming by recruiting and preparing candidates for these competitive programs. Duration and compensation vary depending on the site. ILI prioritizes students who have participated in ILI internships or who are enrolled in ILI College Coaching for these opportunities.
